ChinaLeaf is a small tea company working with white tea from Yunnan, in south-west China.
Yunnan, and white tea
Yunnan is best known for pu-erh, but its high mountains and strong sun also make beautiful white tea. In spring and early autumn the buds are picked by hand and spread out to wither, then dried in the sun. No roasting, no rolling — the leaf does the work.
Moonlight White (Yue Guang Bai) is our signature: picked at night, dried under the sun, and unusually soft and floral for a white tea.
How we work
- We buy directly from growers in Jinggu and nearby mountains.
- Teas are pressed and packed in small batches.
- Every order is packed by hand and shipped from the United States.
